Etsy Featured Artist - Purple Snowpeas

Kathryn Short, a photographer and all-around artist, also enjoys bookmaking and knitting. She also teaches art and photograpy at the high school level, for which I give her much kudos.

This knit hat is made with wool and acrylic yarns in bold turquoise and pink on a grey background. Keep your noggin warm in style with this or one of many different colors she carries. Some also have matching wristwarmers available as well.

This hand bound book is made using the cover from an old book on toys as its own cover. Kathryn has hand stitched blank pages into the cover. A few of the original pages also remain to make it truly an unique and colorful sketchbook or journal.

Kathryn 's photograph's evoke a feeling of stopped time. By developing with iron added during processing, it gives the photos that sepia-tone look from bygone days. Only the silhouette of the children's riding pony inside the barn gives it away that this photo was not taken in the 1800's.
